At Empire Field the Seattle Pilots easily handled the New York Knights by the score of 7 to 3.
Jermaine Dye provided much of the offense. He clubbed a three-run home run (his 10th of the season) in the 1st inning, ripped a base-knock in the 5th inning and doubled in the 7th inning. Seattle had 11 hits for the game and New York had 6.
Wandy Rodriguez(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings andallowing 3 runs. Latroy Hawkins got the save, his 2nd. Joe Saunders(1-4) was tagged with the loss.
