The Lake Champlain Cannibals edged the Outlaw Josey Wales in 10 innings at
Wreckin' So Field by the score of 4 to 3.
 
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings.  Finally, Lake
Champlain pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  Hideki Matsui ripped a
solo home run (his 4th of the season).  Rickie Weeks next to the plate and he
was hit by a pitch.  After an out was recorded, Ryan Spilborghs came to the
plate and drew a walk.  Curtis Granderson dug into the batters box next, but
he struck out.  Lake Champlain had a total of 8 hits for the game.  
 
The win went to Takashi Saito(2-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Saito got
help from Jose Valverde who earned his 10th save.  Tim Hudson(4-6) was tagged
with the loss.  
 
With this win, Lake Champlain has a 35-34 record.  They have been 3-7 lately.
Outlaw, which had been on a roll, saw their record drop to 51-37.
