Ryan Spilborghs slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Empire Field as the Lake Champlain Cannibals beat the New York Knights 12 to 6.

Spilborghs propelled Lake Champlain to victory. He lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 1st inning, slapped a base-hit in the 3rd inning, delivered a single scoring a run in the 3rd inning, smashed a two-run homer (his 3rd of the season) in the 6th inning and slapped a one-base hit in the 8th inning. Lake Champlain finished with 18 hits while New York ended up with 11.

The victory was credited to Edwin Jackson(3-1) who went 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing 6 runs. Mike Mussina(1-5) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.

The Lake Champlain ballclub's record now stands at 24-24. New York has a
record of 20-32 after the loss.
