Ryan Dempster pitched a 2 hitter as the Outlaw Josey Wales topped the New York
Knights by a score of 3 to 1 at Wreckin' So Field.

Outlaw wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning with 2 runs.
Rajai Davis opened up the inning nicely when he reached on an error. Davis
swiped second base. After another out, Jason Bay was next to the plate, but
was promptly struck out. Dustin Pedroia followed and he popped a two-run
clout over the fence (his 6th of the season). That early scoring was all
that Dempster(9-4) needed. Neither team managed to score after the 3rd
inning.

Mike Mussina(1-5) was the losing pitcher. He allowed just 6 hits and no walks
in 8 innings. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Dempster - except
New York. Mitchell Pak lamented, 'He just was 'on' this afternoon. He was
keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout
pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were
the visitors!'
