Catcher Francisco Cervelli slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI and Jake Odorizzi
was on top of his game, blanking Dallas Ft Worth on just 3 hits as the
Springfield Isotopes beat the Dallas Ft Worth Spurs by a score of 5 to
0.

Odorizzi(6-1) simply dominated Dallas Ft Worth.  He didn't give up much, just
3 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 2.70 to 2.31.
Springfield totaled 10 hits on the night.

The loss was charged to Jordan Zimmermann(3-4).  He was not very effective,
surrendering 5 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.  'Odorizzi gave us exactly what we
needed tonight.' Doug Sherlag said. 'When he threw the fastball he threw it
for strikes.  They were really fooled by his change.  Most of the time he had
them chasing it.'
