Matt Cain was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game and center fielder Grady Sizemore had 4 hits and scored 3 times at Empire Field as the New York Knights won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Vermont Fighting Sioux by the count of 6 to 5.

New York scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 hits. Jeff Kent led off the inning for New York when he stroked a base-hit. Pierre was safe at second on a stolen base. Sizemore then doubled. Jason Kendall was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Ty Wigginton stepped into the box and hit a single. New York finished with
14 hits in the victory.

Cain(4-4) was the winner allowing 5 runs for the game. The losing pitcher was J.C. Romero(0-1) in relief. 'What a win!', Cain said. 'These are the kind of games that stand out in your mind at the end of a season.'
