Outlaw Defeats Pocono In Home Opener

Tim Wakefield completed the game without help from the bullpen and Adrian
Gonzalez ripped a bases loaded blast as the Outlaw Josey Wales defeated the
Pocono Chin Music 8 to 2 at in Outlaw's home opener at Wreckin' So Field.

Gonzalez had a big evening at the plate. He tripled bringing in a run in the
3rd inning and electrified the crowd with a 7th inning Grand Slam home run to dead centerfield, no small feat against John Smoltz in cavernous Wreckin' So Field. Outlaw finished with 12 hits in the victory, four attributable to Willy Taveras.

The victory went to Wakefield(1-0) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. John Smoltz(0-1) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 7 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
