Justin Verlander mowed down 10 Vermont batters and center fielder Odubel
Herrera hit 2 doubles as the Canyon Country Cannons defeated the Vermont
Fighting Sioux by a score of 2 to 0 at Fighting Sioux Field.
 
Verlander(1-0) dominated Vermont hitters.  He gave up just 1 hit and 1 walk in
7 innings.  Canyon Country finished with 7 hits in the victory.  
 
Craig Kimbrel recorded his 1st save.  Brad Peacock(2-4) was tagged with the
loss.  'He was really impressive tonight,' Peacock said of his counterpart.
'Our guys were just swinging at air.'
