Anthony Rizzo left the yard and had 5 RBI and Chris Archer racked up an
impressive total of 12 strikeouts as the Dallas Ft Worth Spurs defeated the
Vermont Fighting Sioux by a score of 8 to 4 at Turnpike Stadium.

Rizzo provided much of the offense.  He tripled plating two runs in the 3rd
inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 5th inning.  Dallas Ft Worth
had a total of 10 hits for the game. 

Archer(3-0) allowed 3 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Patrick Corbin(0-1) absorbed the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 5 hits and
3 walks in 2 innings. 

The Dallas Ft Worth fans were thrilled by the performance put forth by Archer,
but it was clearly his strikeouts that they enjoyed most. 'When he reached 10
strikeouts the fans showed him their appreciation with a loud cheer.' Red
Robbins said following the game.
