Joey Votto ripped 2 homeruns and scored 3 times as the Canyon Country Cannons
defeated the Dallas Ft Worth Spurs by the score of 4 to 3 at Turnpike
Stadium.

Votto had a big day at the plate.  He stroked a single in the 1st inning,
ripped a solo home run in the 3rd inning and cracked a solo homerun in the
5th inning.  Canyon Country had only 5 hits for the afternoon. 

Chris Sale(1-0) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Sale got help
from Craig Kimbrel who earned his 1st save.  Chris Archer(4-1) was hit with
the loss.
