Josh Donaldson launched 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Chris Sale retired 14
batters on strikeouts as the Canyon Country Cannons beat the Vermont Fighting
Sioux by a score of 11 to 3.
 
Donaldson led the offense for Canyon Country. He lined a base-hit in the 3rd
inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 4th inning and ripped a
solo home run in the 8th inning.  Canyon Country had 15 hits for the game and
Vermont had 5.  
 
The win went to Sale(1-0) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Chase Anderson(4-1)
was the loser.  He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 2 innings of work.
 
'He was really impressive tonight,' Anderson said of his counterpart.  'Our
guys were just swinging at air.'
