the Georgia Roadkill beat the Vermont Fighting Sioux 2 to 1.
 
Georgia took the lead off Ervin Santana in the first inning plating an
isolated run.  Nate McLouth drew a walk.  Alexei Ramirez stepped into the
batter's box and he doubled.  Alex Rios got his turn next, but he was a
strikeout victim.  Nick Markakis followed and he hit a sacrifice fly.
Georgia had only 3 hits for the game.  
 
The winning pitcher was Lackey(6-6) who allowed 1 run in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Matt Lindstrom recorded his 6th save.  Santana(11-6) took the loss.  He
surrendered only 2 runs and 3 hits in 9 innings.  
 
The Georgia ballclub's record now stands at 32-83.  Vermont has a record of
66-51 after the loss.
