Spurs acquire Derosa

Dallas Morning News.........In a move to knock the Dallas Cowboys off the front page and to beef up their right handed hitting, the Spurs traded for INF/OF'er Mark Derosa from LVI. Derosa wasn't having a monster year by any means hitting .236 with a OBA of .360. Derosa's vertically will come in handy and is expected to play basically where ever needed. Derosa welcomes the chance to play on a team battling for a play off spot. He wanted to give a 'Shout Out' to LVI's Kevin Burns for making this opportunity happen. Ask what position he (Derosa) preferred playing the most, he simply replied 'The position that has my name is in the lineup'! TMZ reported that one of the reasons the trade was made was that Derosa recently was seen with Jessica Simpson. TMZ reported when they contacted the front office of the Spurs a spoke person said, 'For Sure'!! Reports were later denied.
