Edgar Renteria had 3 base hits as the Lake Champlain Cannibals defeated the
Springfield Isotopes by a score of 6 to 0 at Creutzfeldt-Jakob's.
Lake Champlain jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning scoring a single run
utilizing 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Jonny Gomes smashed a
solo-shot out of the park (his 1st of the season). The early run support
proved sufficient for Randy Wolf(1-0) and Lake Champlain. That was all the
run support Wolf required. Lake Champlain had 9 hits overall, while
Springfield had 5.
