Hideki Matsui had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the New York Knights defeated the Dallas
Ft Worth Spurs by a score of 8 to 6 at Turnpike Stadium.
Matsui had a big day against Dallas Ft Worth. He ripped a base-knock in the
1st inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 2nd of the season) in
the 3rd inning, stroked a single resulting in a run in the 5th inning and
laced a base-hit in the 6th inning. Doug Davis(1-0) got relief help from
Takashi Saito who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 1st save.
David Bush(1-3) suffered the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 14 hits and 2
walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
