Today the Roadkill front office released former ace John Lackey who is scheduled for TJS in the off-season. Dr Lewis Yocum would not comment on what might have contributed to Lackey's horrific slide including 4-17 5.77 this past season. The highlight of Lackey's career with the club was the '08 season going 18-12 3.62.
The team will certainly miss the clubhouse leader but new Mgr Freddi Gonzalez felt the IR was getting crowded with ace Adam Wainwright on the shelf for the '12 season. Now the scouts will focus on replacing Lackey with what looks to be a deep class of young arms in the upcoming draft.
