Grundy County, Il: The Less Filling pennant series moves to Grundy County for game three, and the matchup of Garland (13-10, 3.85 ERA) versus Matusz (13-14, 3.83 ERA) was balanced off the bat. The Grizzlies scored first in the bottom of the second, but a big pinch-hit 2 run homerun by Billy Butler in the 7th proved to be the difference maker for Garland and the bullpen. Garland worked out of trouble all night, going 7 innings while only giving up 2 hits and allowing 6 walks. The Haymakers win the game 6-2 and take the series lead 2 games to 1.
