WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Kosuke Fukudome robbed Ben Zobrist of a Homerun!

Shortstop Hanley Ramirez blasted a homerun and Roy Halladay dominated striking
out 10 Pocono batters at Thunderdome as the Illinois Chow Chows beat the
Pocono Chin Music by the count of 5 to 1.

Halladay(1-0) was in control of the game from the outset. He gave up just 8
hits and no walks in 9 innings. Illinois banged out 11 hits on the
afternoon.

Dan Haren(0-1) absorbed the loss. Halladay, when asked about his 10 strikeout
performance noted, 'The important thing is that we won, if I get 20 and we
lose, what good does it do our team? But, on the other hand, since we won it
feels great!'
