Duelling Blown Saves By Ace Closers Create Thrills in Outlaw Pond

Defensive replacement Willy Taveras'es two-base error in the top of the ninth contributed to the New York Knight's two-run comeback and ace closer Joakim Soria's blown save. New York's one-run lead looked good with opposing ace Takashi Saito on the mound, but Aramis Ramirez led off and he doubled. Pinch runner Ryan Theriot quickly stole third base. Melvin Mora then delivered a base-hit bringing in the tying run. After an out was recorded, Adrian Gonzalez came to the plate and doubled, Mora holding at third. Willy Taveras was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Ryan Ludwick did his part to keep things going and doubled making Outlaw the victors to the delight of the home town faithful.
