The Phoenix Pony Express ended a long winless drought and bested the Vermont
Fighting Sioux by a 5 to 2 score at Fighting Sioux Field.
 
Khris Davis provided the offensive punch.  He launched a three-run homer in
the 3rd inning and delivered a single in the 8th inning.  Both teams ended up
with 7 hits on the night.  
 
The win went to Eduardo Rodriguez(3-9) who allowed 2 runs in 7 and 2/3
innings. Rodriguez was helped out by Keone Kela who recorded his 6th save.
Trevor Cahill(3-8) ended up with the loss.

the victory.  'If ever a team needed a win, it was us.'
