The Vermont Fighting Sioux defeated the Shawnee Crows by a score of 8 to 4 at
Fighting Sioux Field.
 
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Adam Engel.  He hit a bases-empty home run in the 3rd inning and
tripled emptying the bases in the 8th inning.  Vermont had 12 hits for the
afternoon while Shawnee had 9.  
 
The victory went to Reyes Moronta(2-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Matt Strahm(0-1) took the loss in relief.  He was not very effective,
surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.  
 
Vermont now has a record of 11-11.  With the loss, Shawnee has a record of 1-1
lately, 1-1 overall.
