Trevor Williams(2-1) and Anibal Sanchez(0-1) treated the Vermont fans to a
fine pitching duel at Fighting Sioux Field.  The Vermont Fighting Sioux
eventually emerged as victors over the Springfield Isotopes by the score of 4
to 0.
 
Springfield was unable to recover after Vermont went ahead in the 5th inning
when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The key at-bat was by Randal Grichuk who
thrilled the crowd when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run.
Vermont had 8 hits for the game and Springfield had 5.
