Jared Hughes came through with a solid 4 innings at Fighting Sioux Field where
the Dallas Ft Worth Spurs beat the Vermont Fighting Sioux in 11 innings by
the score of 5 to 4.
 
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Dallas Ft Worth won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning.  After two outs Aaron Hicks drew a
walk.  Brian Anderson followed next and he laced a base-knock.  Joey Wendle
then stroked a base-hit, and an error was also committed, scoring the run.
Dallas Ft Worth finished with 14 hits while Vermont ended up with 7.
 
Hughes(1-0) went 4 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Kirby Yates(1-1)
suffered the loss in relief.  He surrendered 2 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an
inning.
