Roadkill Homecoming

Lake Buenta Vista, FL

While Outlaw management has a reputation of drafting a prospect "for life" the Georgia Roadkill front office tends to pull the plug on prospects prematurely only to have to pay a premium price (typically future draft picks) for a reunion with the club. Such is the case with recent acquisitions Carlos Beltran, Aaron Hill & Kendrys Morales. Beltran was originally drafted by the 'Kill with the overall #3 pick in the '00 draft, Hill an 8th Round pick in the '06 draft & Morales for a boatload of picks at the end of the '10 season. All were eventually traded for players or picks who most likely did not pan out or moved on to better opportunities. The details involving the Beltran trade have been permanently erased from the GRK archives.

All three players have recently been reunited at the Spring Training Complex in Lake Buenta Vista with the goal of a long-awaited return to the playoffs. Morales was especially emotional (pic below) for his return to the 'Kill although he will most likely platoon with Carlos Santana & Brett Wallace at 1B.

Roadkill Nation is demanding that GM Miller forego the chance at drafting top prospects Andrelton Simmons, Wil Meyers, Jurickson Profar & Julio Teheran for a return to post-season play. Simmons & Teheran were spotted at the Lake Buena Vista complex working out for the GRK scouts so it's certain they are high on the Roadkill's list for the '14 Rookie Draft. It should be an exciting race in the Taste Great South division with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs the favorite after their strong draft including Strasburg & Cespedes.
