Justin Verlander took a no-hitter into the 6th inning at Wreckin' So Field as
the Honolulu Hawaiians beat the Outlaw Josey Wales 3 to 0.
 
Verlander(1-0) was very good in the win.  He allowed just 1 hit and 3 walks in
6 innings.  Verlander whiffed an impressive total of 8 Outlaw batters.  The
right-handed Verlander lost his chance for a no-hitter when Dustin Pedroia
singled with nobody out in the 6th inning.  Mariano Rivera was perfect in the
ninth giving him his 2nd save on the season.  
 
Scott Kazmir(1-3) took the loss.  He surrendered 4 hits and 1 walk in 4
innings.
