Rich Harden shut down the Lehigh Valley batters on just 4 hits as the Outlaw
Josey Wales beat the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs in 10 innings by a score of 1 to
0.
 
Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings.  Outlaw won it in the
10th inning.  Mike Napoli drew a walk.  Dustin Pedroia got his turn next, but
he was a strikeout victim.  Manny Ramirez got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes.  Ryan Ludwick followed and he delivered a
one-base hit.  Adrian Gonzalez came to the plate and was hit by a pitch.
Melvin Mora added to the outburst and banged out a single giving Outlaw the
win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  Outlaw managed 11 hits in
their victory.  
 
Harden(1-0) was credited with the shutout. The losing pitcher was Jensen
Lewis(0-1) in relief.  He pitched 2 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 hits and 1
walk.
 
Mark Hildebrant was very impressed with his pitcher, Harden, 'He had unusually
good pitch placement tonight.  It was almost unfair - but a beautiful game to
watch from where I sat'
