Taijuan Walker went 9 strong innings and Adam Frazier jacked one out of the
ballyard and had 2 RBI as the Phoenix Pony Express defeated the Dallas Ft
Worth Spurs 8 to 0 at Turnpike Stadium.

Walker(4-2) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Dallas Ft
Worth hitters.  He allowed just 6 hits and no walks in 9 innings improving
his ERA from 2.45 to 2.06.  Phoenix totaled 12 hits on the afternoon. 

The losing pitcher was Ivan Nova(4-4).  He allowed 3 homeruns in 4 innings of
work.  'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed.  Man alive, things were getting
awfully grim,' noted Nomar Garciaparra.  'Now, we need to string a bunch of
wins together and turn things around!'
