Kevin Correia(13-9) and Jeremy Guthrie(7-11) locked horns in a pitcher's duel
with Correia and the Pocono Chin Music coming out on top of the hapless
Dallas Ft Worth Spurs 3 to 1.
Pocono delivered all the runs required in the 1st inning when they tallied 3
runs on 3 hits. That was all the runs Correia needed. Dallas Ft Worth
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Trevor Hoffman was credited with his 24th save. Bill Anderson, Jr. was in a
talkative mood in the clubhouse, 'Great game! If only we could win all of the
close ones - wouldn't that be nice! Since that's not going to happen, I think
I'll savor this one for a little while.'
