In a lop-sided win the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs ripped the Outlaw Josey Wales by a 7 to 2 count to take a 2-1 series lead. IronPig rookie starter Clay Buchholtz was dominant giving up a single run in 6-2/3 innings of work.
Outfielder Chris Heisey had a big evening at the plate. He lofted a three-run bomb in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning and laced a base-hit in the 5th inning. Both teams ended up with 9 hits on the night.
Network executives were disappointed with the lopsided victory. They requested that the series become more compelling. Stay tuned....
