With the 2009 season looking bleak due the starting staff resembling a M*A*S*H* unit the Roadkill front office once again mortgages the future unloading draft picks to upgrade the current roster. GRK trades #1,3, 4 & 5 draft picks to obtain future staff ace John Lackey & relievers Brandon Lyon & Peter Moylan. Kelvim Escobar will be moved to the #2 spot in the rotation behind Lackey. Moylan replaces Aaron Hielman as RH setup while Lyon will provide help vs LH. Lyon is also projected to challenge Brad Lidge for Closer in '09 if he's not moved in the off-season. Manager Bobby Cox is excited about the additons to the staff. "These guys will battle or do whatever it takes to take the "Kill to another title".
Current NASBL ERA leader Yovani Gallardo will most likely miss the '09 season along with staff mates Escobar & Noah Lowry but if the Roadkill make the playoffs he could be a force.
