The Vermont Fighting Sioux bested the Slatington Bulldogs by a 9 to 5 score at
Fighting Sioux Field.
 
Ryan Zimmerman enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He lofted a three-run bomb
in the 1st inning and smacked a single scoring two baserunners in the 4th
inning.  Vermont had a total of 13 hits for the game.  
 
The victory went to Chase Anderson(1-0) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing 5
runs. Jharel Cotton(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He surrendered 3 runs and
2 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
