Kevin Kouzmanoff blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Roy Halladay tossed a
complete game at Wreckin' So Field as the Illinois Chow Chows beat the Outlaw
Josey Wales by the count of 10 to 4.

Kouzmanoff had a big day with his bat. He ripped a base-knock in the 2nd
inning, ripped a solo home run in the 4th inning and blasted a two-run home
run (his 22nd of the season) in the 5th inning. Illinois simply wore out the
Outlaw pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.

The winning pitcher was Halladay(18-12) who allowed 4 runs for the game. Scott
Kazmir(7-9) was given the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 5 runs
in 3 and 1/3 innings.

Right fielder Ryan Ludwick rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Wreckin' So
Field where the Outlaw Josey Wales beat the slumping Illinois Chow Chows 13
to 8.

Ludwick had a great evening at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every
move. He doubled in the 3rd inning, doubled in the 5th inning, cleared the
fences for a two-run home run in the 7th inning and lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' (his 34th of the season) in the 8th inning. The game was a wild
affair with the lead changing hands 6 times.

Joba Chamberlain(14-2) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory.
Jonathan Broxton gained credit for his 4th save. Joe Blanton(7-14) was
charged with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 13 hits and 4 walks in 6
innings.

'I had good swings tonight,' Ludwick said, 'Everything felt right'.

Josey Wales topped the Miami Surf by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.

Outlaw took the lead for good in the bottom of the 4th inning scoring one
runner. Miami threatened in the 9th but Outlaw was able to put down the
rally.

Ryan Dempster(21-7) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 2 runs. Dempster was helped out by Scott Downs who recorded his 4th
save. The losing pitcher was Josh Beckett(10-10).

Odalis Perez had a strong outing as the Grundy County Grizzlies topped the
Outlaw Josey Wales by a score of 4 to 1 at Wreckin' So Field.

Grundy County took the lead for keeps in the top of the 4th inning scoring one
runner. Dan Uggla smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 16th of the season).
Justin Morneau was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. After
another out, Ryan Howard got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim.
Grundy County had just 5 hits for the afternoon.

Perez(11-4) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Scott
Baker(12-6) was tagged with the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 4 hits in 5 and
1/3 innings.

'We didn't have a whole lot of chances today,' Mark Hildebrant said. 'Perez
just was too much for our guys.'

Braden Looper was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Gerald Laird hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Grundy
County Grizzlies defeated the Outlaw Josey Wales by the score of 6 to 5 at
Wreckin' So Field.

Looper(6-11) delivered a fine performance for Grundy County. He was reached
for 11 hits and 6 walks in 9 innings. Outlaw had a chance in the 9th but
they came up short.

Jake Peavy(11-6) was the loser. He gave up 8 hits and 4 walks in 6 and 2/3
innings. 'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,'
Looper said, 'this was one of those times.'

Manny Ramirez hit a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Outlaw Josey Wales beat the
Grundy County Grizzlies by a score of 11 to 6.

In the bottom of the 6th inning Outlaw scored 7 runs with the help of 7 hits.
The crucial at-bat was provided by Mike Napoli who made the Outlaw fans a
happy lot when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Overall Outlaw out-hit
Grundy County 17 to 10.

Shortstop Orlando Cabrera had 4 hits as the Pocono Chin Music won at
Thunderdome in dramatic fashion over the Springfield Isotopes, the final
score, 4 to 1.

Pocono won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Garret Anderson started the
attack as he lashed a single. Joe Inglett got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes. Cabrera then laced a base-knock. Ben
Francisco was up next and he lofted a three-run bomb (his 9th of the season)
making Pocono the winners and sending the 13,830 fans home happy. Both teams
finished the game with 7 hits.

Trevor Hoffman(1-2) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Dan
Wheeler(4-3) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning and surrendered 3
hits and no walks.

The impressive Springfield Isotopes defeated the Pocono Chin Music in 15
innings by a score of 8 to 5 at Thunderdome.

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Springfield won the
hard fought contest in the 15th inning. Brian Schneider led off the inning
for Springfield when he lined a one-base hit. Cesar Izturis stepped up next
and he laced a base-hit. Brian Roberts then laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Lance Berkman came up and he banged out a single, and an error was also
committed. After another out, Aramis Ramirez stepped in and he doubled.
Pocono was retired without difficulty in the bottom of the 15th.

Matt Thornton(3-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings.
Thornton got help from Matt Capps who was credited with his 21st save. Cla
Meredith(0-5) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning giving up 4 hits
and 1 walk.

a base-hit in the 9th inning. For the game Honolulu out-hit Pocono 16 to 9.

Orlando Cabrera had 2 base hits as the Pocono Chin Music defeated the New
Jersey Trash Heap in 10 innings by a score of 3 to 2 at Thunderdome.

Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Pocono won it in
the 10th inning. Joe Inglett stroked a one-base hit. Cabrera stepped up
next and he drew a walk. Ben Francisco was next to the plate, but was
promptly struck out. One out later, Delmon Young stepped up to the plate and
he delivered a single resulting in a mighty exciting win for Pocono and the
12,115 home town fans in attendance. Pocono had a total of 13 hits for the
game.

Bobby Jenks(4-6) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. The loss
was charged to J.P. Howell(4-4) in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 1
and 1/3 innings.

It was a great finish at Thunderdome as the Pocono Chin Music pulled off a
dramatic comeback beating the New Jersey Trash Heap by the count of 5 to
4.

Pocono scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning with 3 runs on 3 hits.
After an out was recorded, Garret Anderson got things rolling when he
doubled. Bengie Molina was the next batter, but he struck out. Orlando
Cabrera then delivered a one-base hit. Cabrera then stole second base.
Torii Hunter stepped into the box and lashed a single, and an error was also
committed. Brandon Inge added his contribution to the rally and drew a walk.
Delmon Young stepped into the batter's box and he drew a walk to load the
bases. Mark Grudzielanek then drew a walk. Pocono finished with 8 hits in
the victory.

Pedro Feliciano(2-3) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Kyle
Lohse(15-12) was the loser. Bill Anderson, Jr. was in great spirits in his
post-game interview. Yet, when asked about his feelings after the thrilling
comeback victory, he volunteered, 'I'll tell you this much - I know how my
counterpart, John Moscariello, feels right now - and it's not very good.
It's terrible when you come up on the short end of one of these!'

Dustin Pedroia had 4 hits and 2 RBI at Thunderdome where the Outlaw Josey
Wales beat the Pocono Chin Music by the score of 5 to 1.

Pocono never recovered after Outlaw took the lead in the 5th inning as they
scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. The big moment was provided by Pedroia who
silenced the crowd when he doubled plating two runs. For the game Outlaw
out-hit Pocono 11 to 4.

The winning pitcher was Rich Harden(13-4) who allowed 1 run in 8 and 1/3
innings. Joakim Soria got the save, his 31st. Barry Zito(4-9) was the losing
pitcher.
