one-run game at Fighting Sioux Field.  The final score was the Vermont
Fighting Sioux 3, the Denville Ultras 2 in 10 innings.
 
The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings.  Finally, Vermont pulled the
game out in the 10th inning.  Tommy La Stella delivered a single.  After an
out was recorded, Hunter Renfroe came up and he ripped a single.  Ehire
Adrianza then delivered a one-base hit giving Vermont the win much to the
delight of the home town crowd.  Vermont managed 8 hits in their victory.

County Grizzlies by a final score of 6 to 2.
 
Grundy County was unable to climb back into it after Vermont went ahead for
good in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.  The
critical plate appearance was by Eduardo Escobar who elicited a roar from the
hometown fans when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run.
Vermont finished with 7 hits in the victory.  
 
Charlie Morton(1-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Rick
Porcello(0-1) took the loss.  He allowed Vermont 6 runs in 5 innings of work.
