45,640 fans were treated to a fine game at Fighting Sioux Field as only one
run separated the combatants at game's end.  The Vermont Fighting Sioux won
by the slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.
 
The score was tied at 1 after nine. Vermont won it in the 11th inning.  After
two were out Robbie Grossman drew a walk.  Kendrys Morales stepped up next
and he doubled making Vermont the winners and sending the 45,640 fans home
happy.  The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel until the 8th inning.
 
The victory went to Robbie Erlin(3-2) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Matt Strahm(4-3) was hit with the loss in relief.  The Vermont ballclub's
record now stands at 28-21.  Shawnee continued their losing ways and their
record is now 30-16.  They are 2-8 in their last ten games.
