At Fighting Sioux Field, the Vermont fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel.
Danny Salazar(1-0) finally bested his Vermont opposite, John Lackey(4-1), by
the score of 2 to 1.
 
Salazar gave a fine effort for Grundy County.  He went 6 and 1/3 innings and
surrended up 3 hits and 2 walks.  Salazar recorded 8 strikeouts.  Vermont was
out-hit by Grundy County, 7 hits to 3.  
 
Kenley Jansen recorded the save, his 1st.  Lackey was the loser.  He pitched 9
