At Fighting Sioux Field, the Vermont faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel.  Andrew Cashner(1-0) finally bested his Springfield
counterpart, Anibal Sanchez(1-1), by the score of 2 to 1.
 
Cashner was very good in the win.  He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 2
hits and 2 walks in 6 innings improving his ERA from 5.06 to 2.38.
Springfield was retired without difficulty in the 9th.  
 
Cashner got help from Kirby Yates who was credited with his 4th save.  Sanchez
was tagged with the loss.  He allowed 4 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings
