Patrick Corbin(2-0) and Yu Darvish(3-1) treated the Vermont fans to a fine
pitching duel at Fighting Sioux Field.  The Vermont Fighting Sioux eventually
emerged as victors over the Springfield Isotopes by the score of 1 to
0.
 
Corbin pitched well for Vermont in their victory.  He went 7 innings
surrendering 7 hits and 4 walks.  Corbin racked up 9 strikeouts reducing his
ERA from 4.40 to 2.95.  Springfield made it exciting in the 9th, but they
were unable to push the needed runs across.  
 
Corbin was helped out by Kirby Yates who recorded his 3rd save.
