Shane Bieber took a no-hitter into the 7th inning as the Outlaw Josey Wales
defeated the Vermont Fighting Sioux 6 to 4 at Fighting Sioux
Field.
 
Bieber(1-0) pitched well for Outlaw in their victory.  He went 6 and 2/3
innings and surrended up 3 hits and 2 walks.  Bieber chalked up 7 strikeouts.
The right-handed Bieber lost his chance for a no-hitter when Max Kepler
singled with nobody out in the 7th inning.  Vermont had a chance to come back
in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
Bieber got help from Brandon Workman who was credited with his 1st save.
Charlie Morton(0-1) took the loss.  'We didn't get the key hits when we
needed them' Justin Rabidoux said. 'We did what we could, we just didn't pull
out the win. What can you say?'
