In a good matchup it was the Vermont Fighting Sioux 5, the Denville Ultras 3
in 12 innings at Fighting Sioux Field.
 
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Vermont came out the
victor in the 12th inning.  Robbie Grossman opened up the inning nicely when
he drew a walk.  Ryan Zimmerman came next and he lifted one out of the park
for a two run home run giving Vermont the win as 40,562 happy fans joyfully
celebrated.  Vermont had 10 hits overall, while Denville had 5.  
 
Emilio Pagan(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings.
Yusmeiro Petit(0-2) was the loser in relief.  He gave up 1 hit and 2 walks in
1 and 2/3 innings.
