Patrick Corbin went 8 strong innings as the Vermont Fighting Sioux topped the
Canyon Country Cannons by a score of 3 to 0 at Fighting Sioux Field.
 
Canyon Country found themselves trailing quickly as the Vermont bats came
through in the first inning scoring a single run.  That was all Corbin(1-1)
needed.  Neither team managed to score after the 2nd inning.  
 
Corbin was helped out by Will Smith who recorded his 3rd save.  The losing
pitcher was Justin Verlander(0-1).  He allowed 3 runs and 4 hits in 6 and 1/3
innings.
