In a dramatic ending at Fighting Sioux Field the Vermont Fighting Sioux won in
their last at-bat beating the Dallas Ft Worth Spurs by the count of 3 to
2.
 
The game was won by Vermont when they scored a run in the 9th inning. Garrett
Jones smacked a single.  A balk was called.  Two outs later Willie Bloomquist
came up and he was walked intentionally.  Jason Castro was up next and he
banged out a single to load the bases.  Kevin Frandsen came up to bat and
lined a base-hit giving Vermont the win as 25,887 happy fans joyfully
celebrated.  Vermont out-hit Dallas Ft Worth for the game, 8 hits to 4.
 
The victory was credited to Jason Motte(2-1) who went 2/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Matt Lindstrom(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.
