Eduardo Escobar knocked 2 homeruns and scored 3 times as the Vermont Fighting
Sioux outscored the Springfield Isotopes 6 to 4.
 
Escobar had a big day at the plate.  He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in
the 2nd inning, hit a bases-empty home run in the 4th inning, doubled in the
6th inning and ripped a one-base hit in the 8th inning.  Vermont had 10 hits
for the afternoon while Springfield had 6.  
 
The victory went to Reyes Moronta(1-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Kirby Yates earned the save, his 2nd.  Matt Boyd(0-1) was tagged with the
loss.  He surrended 3 homeruns in his 7 and 2/3 innings.
