Lance McCullers struck out 13 batters as the Georgia Roadkill defeated the
Dallas Ft Worth Spurs by a score of 6 to 1 at Turnpike
Stadium.
McCullers(2-3) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Dallas Ft
Worth hitters. He gave up just 6 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Georgia had
8 hits for the night.
Chris Archer(5-4) was given the loss. He gave up 6 runs and 8 hits in 9
innings. McCullers was asked about his big strikeout performance, 'Well,
it's a little odd when you rack up these numbers on the road - instead of
cheers and a running tally in the stands, everything gets real still and
quiet. Just strange - but it's nice to be able to take the crowd out of the
game.'
