| In a thriller the Illinois Chow Chows staged a dramatic comeback then held on to win over the Outlaw Josey Wales by a score of 4 to 3 at Wreckin' So Field. Illinois came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Troy Tulowitzki started the rally when he banged out a single. Adrian Beltre was next and he blasted a two-run home run (his 18th of the season). Outlaw had 11 hits in the game while Illinois had 7, but Illinois had the more timely hits. The victory was credited to Joe Blanton(13-10) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs. Joe Nathan recorded the save, his 33rd. The losing pitcher was Jonathan Broxton(2-3) in relief. 'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Blanton said, 'this was one of those times.' |
