Chows add a DH

Illinois Times - In management's first signal that they will be "going for it" this season, the Chows acquired DH Travis Hafner for their 4th pick.

We have a lot of holes and this draft is pitching rich and hitting poor. We really do not see a DH solution vs. RHP still available in Round 4 this season. We have 5 picks in the first three rounds and this deal allows us not to have to stretch for someone to play DH. We will now have Willingham playing LF and are only left with a couple of holes in our line-up. Having two 5th round picks makes us feel a little more comfortable giving up a 4.

Hafner posted an .886 OPS vs. RHP in 2011. This puts him 31st overall among hitters with 200 or more PA vs. righties.
