Tim Lincecum racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the New Jersey
Trash Heap defeated the Pocono Chin Music by the score of 4 to 3 at
Thunderdome.

Lincecum(11-13) pitched a solid game. He didn't give up much, just 9 hits and
1 walk in 9 innings. New Jersey had 7 hits for the afternoon.

Grant Balfour(1-2) suffered the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in
2 and 1/3 innings. Lincecum didn't realize how many strikeouts he was
racking up. When told he had 10 he was obviously surprised, 'No kidding?
Man, I knew that I had a decent total, but I didn't think I had K'd that
many. Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'
