Vermont completes sweep of New York

The Vermont Fighting Sioux opened the season in fine fashion, finishing off a sweep of NYK 4-2 behind the solid pitching of Aaron Cook and 3 relievers.

Vermont's offense again failed to hit for big numbers, but the results were a little better once the box score is examined. The Sioux did get men on base, but just didn't get the timely hit to break to game open, eventually stranding 12.

Kevin Kouzmanoff's 1st HR of the year, a 2-run shot in the 4th, provided the winning margin.
