C.C. Sabathia hurled a fine complete game shutout as the Springfield Isotopes
defeated the Lake Champlain Cannibals by a score of 5 to 0 at
Creutzfeldt-Jakob's.

Sabathia(1-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Springfield. He was
reached for 10 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Springfield managed 8 in their
victory.

The loss was charged to Rich Hill(1-1). He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings giving
up 7 hits and 3 walks.
