Three Little Pigs

Dateline Bethlehem, PA: Three new Pigs are making waves in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Shortstop Derek Jeter was acquired prior to the last block and has provided a much needed boost at the top of the lineup. He is batting .354 in 34 games since the trade. He has scored 25 runs, has 21 RBI and has stolen 3 bases.

Catcher Russell Martin has also provided stability behind the plate. His calming presence and steady demeanor has allowed the IronPigs pitching staff to focus on getting the batters out and not having as much distraction with opposing baserunners. He is batting .302 with 17 runs and 13 RBI since coming to the Lehigh Valley.

Reliever Brian Fuentes has also enjoyed success since his acquisition. He has a sterling 1.64 ERA in 22 innings with a record of 2 up, 3 down and 5 saves.

Rumor has it that management is considering modifying the outfield fences for the upcoming season, to showcase some of the recent acquisitions and also some of the homegrown offensive talent. Stay tuned for further developments.
